Operation Write Home Blog Hop!

Hey there…welcome to my humble stop on the bloghop! For those of you arriving from Brenda’s blog “Rose Blossom Legacies,” welcome and I hope you took some time to look around — she has beautiful ideas for both cardmaking and scrapbooking!  If you’re stumbling onto the hop right now, you might want to start at to see all the great blogs!

I am so thrilled to do my little part for such an amazing organization — Operation Write Home’s mission is to support our nation’s armed forces by sending blank greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.   I always make more cards than I can use personally and I think this is a fantastic cause to send cards to.  I love to check out the website and the blog ( – please take the time to check it out — the soldiers that the cards go to are so grateful and it definitely inspires me to jump into action to do whatever I can for these men and women serving our country!

And, if you ARE inspired, please remember that the deadline for Mother’s Day cards to arrive at OWH is April 1 (which is a great reminder for me to put the ones I have made in the mail on Monday).  You can find where to ship the cards — it can be as few as one — on the website.

This card is a springy card that could be used for a friend, for Mother’s Day — it uses Stampin’ Up stamps and paper and the flowers on the front are attached with pop-dots for a 3-D effect…I think the sentiment is especially fitting because of the service men and women we are thinking about today.

On to the really good stuff…If you’d like to be entered to receive a SPECIAL SPRING SURPRISE RAK from me, please leave a comment below. (If you are NOT a blogger, please provide your email address like this: name at server dot com and then I can contact you if you win! If you’re a blogger I can click on your name and leave you the news on your blog!)

Enough about me!  After you leave your comment, hop on over to Louise’s Trinity Paper Arts blog! She does quilling — which is a beautiful paper craft that I have not seen very often!  GO LOUISE!  Click here to keep hopping —!

Thanks for visiting!

Terrible Picture of a Really Cute Layout!

So, forgive the photography…but I wanted to share this layout with you.  I love taking pictures of my son doing “every day stuff.”  And, one of the things that he does EVERY. DAY. is play with his rug and his cars.  He loves it and I love how into it he gets.  So, I took some pictures.  I love this layout — I love polkadots…and I love the pictures…and I love my son 🙂  Enough said.  Enjoy!

I Heart Faces: Jump for Joy Challenge

Hi there — These photos are of my son and I at the end of a family photo session.  He had been nervous the entire time and then at the very end, loosened up and we started jumping.  He loved it!  Jumping photos aren’t always the prettiest, but they sure are FUN!

Crazy Straws

So, I bought straws at the dollar store…thought they would be a fun addition to a family dinner.  So, of course, I took pictures.  I love the three of us with the straws…makes me laugh!  So, this is a pretty simple layout, but I really like it.   The picture is terrible, but trust me…it’s better in person…Enjoy!

The Boys

Hi there — This is a simple layout that I did of our summer vacation to the beach.  If you can, when you travel somewhere, head to the local scrapbook store.  I did and I got this paper that was imprinted with the name of the beach that we were visiting.  I love it!  So, if you get a chance (and you know you want to) scope out the nearest scrapbooking place and see what treasures they have in store.
