Monkey See, Monkey Do…

Hi there — I got a Cricut for my birthday in November, but it stayed in the box until, ahem, last weekend.  But, NOW I AM ADDICTED!  Wow — what was I waiting for!  I have a few posts that I will share with scrapbook pages done with the Cricut and some other fun stuff, but for now, I want to share something simple.  The theme of my neice’s first birthday party tomorrow is monkeys, and I bought my son a shirt with a monkey on it, but I don’t have anything.  SO, I made these monkeys (one for each of my parents, too) to stick on our shirts.  Aren’t they adorable?  I mean they have so many uses — in fact, I didn’t take a picture of it, but I made 3 others that I used as gift tags on her gifts.  To paper piece these together by hand would have taken a really long time.  I am thrilled with these and with the Cricut in general.  Yay!

Valentine’s Day

Hey there — Another Valentine to show you…This one my son helped me with.  he colored on large sheets of white paper and then I took a heart template and cut out the hearts.  I glued the paper hearts to card stock to make them a little but stronger.  The rest is simply a picture of him, simple brass brads (the ones you get at the office supply store), and foam heart stickers.  They seemed to be a huge hit with everyone that got them!
