Bubble Boy

Hey there — Another layout tonight of my nephew…my sister actually took these pictures.  He loved the bubbles and I thought this paper was perfect for the layout.  Enjoy!

Swap-o-Rama

Hey there — I have mentioned before that I belong to the Yahoo group “Be a Scrappin Sis” and we swap every month.  So, this month, I signed up for a flower swap and decided to do sunflowers…I experimented with the glitter on some of these…not my expertise, but I think they turned out cute.  I hope the other “sisters” like them.

Sunflowers

The next thing I worked on tonight were a couple of tags for another sister…the theme was “The Great Outdoors”.  They are quick, as I am filling in last minute, but I think they are cute.  I think the person that I made them for spends quite a bit of time outdoors, and these would both work as journaling block on scrapbook pages.  Fun!

Meeting R

Hi there — Today’s post is a layout that I did a while ago about my family meeting my nephew.  I used my Sizzix “shadow” alphabet for the title…I love this alphabet, it’s very versatile!  Again, I think this is a classic layout, but I love the circles.  Enjoy!

Happy Mail!

Hi — In the last week or so, I received some wonderful “happy mail.”  The first is an adorable, crocheted bunny from Sara R. (http://huizingashamper.blogspot.com/).  She is a fellow Fiskateer, whose blog I found out about at www.fiskateers.com.  I answered a call on her blog to “pay it forward” and she sent me the bunny!  Fun, right?  The second piece of happy mail is from Jeana — a contributor on www.liveimaginecreate.proboards.com.  I submitted my paper pieced owls to a paper piecing call there and she sent me this paper pieced sock monkey.  How cool is that???  I can’t wait to use it on a layout with my niece!  YEAH!  Thanks to Sara and Jeana for making my day!

Ribbit, Ribbit!

Hey there — Strangely enough, it’s National Frog Month (who knew?).  Well, Groovy Deb knew and she issued a challenge on her blog http://ifitsgroovy.blogspot.com/ to create a layout with a frog in it.  Who am I to pass on such a weird and wonderful challenge?  So, here is my contribution to the froggymania…a layout of my nephew (pics from a few years ago) with a frog in the corner made from circle punches and star punches!  Fun, right?  I love using tools I already have to make other items (see the post below about the Fiskars “chicky baby” punch!).  I love this layout — happy that it is out of my SQUARE rut and just darn cute!  Enjoy!

Thinking of Design Team Apps…

Do you belong to any design teams?  I have a few in mind that I would love to belong to…and there are a few open calls right now, so this may be my chance…stay tuned for news (hopefully!).  I also wanted to reiterate that I belong to three great groups already and I love the creativity, ideas, and general goodness that flow from them:

1.  Fiskateers — www.fiskateers.com — great message board, inspiring gallery, talented leads, what more could you ask for?

2.  Be A Scrappin Sis — http://groups.yahoo.com/group/be_a_scrappinsis/ — small, but active group of swappers of all levels, which is really great!

3.  LiveImagineCreate — www.liveimaginecreate.proboards.com — another great group of talented folks looking to share ideas and inspiration.

I hope you will check them out!

Amy
