Thinking spring, but crafting…

Quick post…I am thinking spring here, but I made these cards for a “button challenge” on Fiskateers.com.  I love them —  I had seen a similar design YEARS ago, and I think it was a gift bag.  It stuck with me and this is my version of it!  Enjoy!

Blog Candy!

Hi there — Had a few minutes today…found some GREAT blog candy here — http://coconutshack.blogspot.com/.  This is the first time that I have visited this blog (from what I read, it’s a “born again” blog 😉  Anyway, not only does Toni have some AWESOME blog candy, she has a lot of cute cards and layouts (and she is also trying to use up her scraps — another scrapper who has adopted the “use what I have” mantra) that will inspire you!  Enjoy!

A Good Deed

Hey there — One of my blogging friends, Jocelyn (http://scrappinmeme.blogspot.com/) posted a plea for a friend of hers…this is from Jocelyn’s blog:

[My friend Jamie] read an article in Ladies Home Journal about a 31 year old woman who is an avid scrapbooker and is in Stage 4 Cancer, terminal!!!! Her wish before she dies is that she can complete the scrapbooks that she has for her children!!!! Her name is Dana Doruin and her husband name is Shawn. They live in New Jersey and have 3 children. One son, Ryan is 12, and a set of twins, a boy Aidan and a girl Sydni, age 5. They have been to Disney World, vacation at the beach and celebrate all the Holidays!!!!! Jamie has a wonderful idea, knowing that scrapbookers have hearts of gold, she thought we could help this family who is in need!!!We are looking for 12×12 pages, completed and ready for a picture!!!!! Ladies Home Journal has agreed if we complete these pages and forward them to the magazine, they will get them to Dana!!!!

So, I did four pages and will mail them out tomorrow.  It was harder than I thought to do pages for folks I don’t know.  So, I made them simple, but, I think nice.  And, I also left space for Dana and her family to journal or add notes to the pages.  I hope they like them and that her very sweet wish of finishing her scrapbooks for her children.  Please take a look at Jocelyn’s blog if you are willing to help in this effort!

Enjoy!

Another Layout…

Hi there — One more layout to share…don’t worry, tomorrow I will have something different to show you (although — these kids are CUTE).  This is the problem with going to get pictures taken — how do you CHOOSE?  So, I typically don’t, I just take them all…then you have to scrapbook them all!  Anyway…this is a cute one, too.  Hang in there with me, this is the last from this series — new layout topics and non-layout posts are on the way.

Enjoy,

A

What are you laughing at?

I know this layout is VERY simple, but I love it.  Again, like the last few posts, this layout started with the picture, which I think is just precious.  My son just got the giggles and look at my nephews’ faces…they are screaming “What are you laughing at?”  So, I let the picture speak for itself and used some Heidi Grace nakes chipboard letters mixed with some others.  Love it.  Love it.  Love it. (And I love them, so that inspires me!)

Enjoy,

BOUNCE

Hey there — Another layout for you tonight…my son absolutely loved the bouncy house this fall…I took a LOT of pictures!  But, I chose the 3 best for this layout.  I used the Sizzix shadow alphabet for the title and then punched different sized circles for some additional fun.  Enjoy!

Talk to you,

You’re Fintastic!

Hey there — As you can see from the dates of these pictures, I made these hanging tags (from a tutorial on Split Coast Stampers) in November for a craft fair that I participated in.  But, I haven’t had a chance to take pictures of some of the other layouts that I did earlier this week, and I LOVE the idea of these hanging box tags and wanted to share.  So, here is one of the designs that I have made.  I have seen this saying on a lot of things, but I know that at one point Stampin’ Up had a stamp with it (I don’t own THAT stamp set, so I improvised).  I die cut the fish with my old school Sizzix.  I like to give these with chocolates (as pictured) or on water bottles with Crystal Light packets.  Great, little (and inexpensive) gift for co-workers, babysitters, and family members.  These are SO versatile and I have some that I will show you in another post that are birthday designs and holiday designs.  Enjoy!
